Asset Protection

Asset protection is a strategy of protecting your assets from future of creditor claims including claims arising from divorce and elder care and a strategy to minimize future taxes. Asset protection plans are most effective if they are implemented well in advance of creditor issues. Strategies include the use of trusts (both domestic and off shore), appropriate business entities, and estate and gift planning. Asset protection planning can be done for assets which you currently own or will obtain in the future, assets which you may receive as an inheritance in the future, and assets which you may gift or bequeath to others.
